Noisy-Diobsud Wilderness

Noisy-Diobsud Wilderness is a 14,192-acre federally protected Wilderness Area in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. It offers backcountry hiking and backpacking in primitive, non-motorized terrain where solitude and self-reliance are the defining experience.

This is genuine wilderness: no roads, motors, or mechanized travel are permitted. Visitors must travel on foot and pack out everything they pack in, following Leave No Trace principles. The landscape and trail system reflect the area's wild, undeveloped character—expect challenging navigation and a genuine sense of remoteness.

Access is typically seasonal, with snow closing or severely limiting travel during winter months. Spring and fall conditions are highly variable. Summer offers the most reliable window for backcountry travel. Plan ahead, secure any required permits through the managing Forest Service office, and come prepared for weather, navigation, and self-sufficiency in true wilderness conditions.
