Buffalo Peaks Wilderness encompasses 41,281 acres of pristine high-country terrain in central Colorado, straddling the Arkansas River valley between the Sawatch and Mosquito mountain ranges. This rugged landscape features sharp alpine peaks, glacially-carved valleys, and a network of challenging trails that reward backcountry explorers with solitude and stunning vistas.
