String Lake boulders is a bouldering area in the Teton Wilderness, part of the Blackrock Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming. The Forest Service manages the land, and the boulders sit within designated wilderness, so expect the usual rules that go with protected backcountry. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale. The easiest are First String and Second String at V2, and the hardest is Project at V7. Rags crimp is a V3- and String Traverse is a V4. The range from V2 to V7 gives climbers a spread of options from straightforward to challenging. The closest trail is Marston Pass Trail, about 2 miles away. Lake Creek Trail Cutoff and South Fork Buffalo Trail are both within about 4.5 miles, and Lake Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 4.6 miles off.
