Grand Teton National Park is a National Park Service unit in Wyoming, home to a network of climbing areas within its boundaries. The park serves as a base for alpine climbing, with more than 40 routes spread across several named areas. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run around 77°F for highs and 42°F for lows, and June through August see no snow days. Winter is severe, with January highs averaging about 24°F and snow on 14 days of the month. The climbing areas closest to the park's center include Symmetry Spire, about a mile away, and Cascade Canyon, at roughly 1.3 miles. Mt Owen is about 1.5 miles off. For an overnight stay, Teton Canyon campground lies about 7.4 miles away.
