Moosehead Bay is a climbing area in the Pinedale Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, hiking routes and campgrounds, making it a natural base for a day or longer in the Pinedale area. The climbing here is a mix of bouldering and sport and trad routes, with 13 routes in total. Boulder problems run from V1-2 up to V6, and the bouldering is the most common style. Among the named routes are Dick Around Right at V1-2, Traverse at V2 and Project- North Side at V6. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Pinedale weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 43°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. Long Lake and the North Buttress climbing area are both about 1.4 miles away, and Trails End Campground is about 1.7 miles off. Fremont Lake campground is about 3.9 miles away.
