Home Alone is a climbing area in the Powder River Ranger District of Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with China Wall about 0.3 miles away and Pooh Corner about 0.4 miles away. Leigh Creek Campground is also about 0.4 miles off, making it an easy base for a day or longer on the rock. The area has 16 routes, mostly sport climbing with two trad options. The grades run from 5.5 up to 5.12a, with Home Invasion at 5.10b and Always Keep it Loaded at 5.12a among the standouts. The routes are spread across several walls, and the closest neighbors make it simple to string together a few climbs in one outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Tensleep put July highs around 88°F with lows near 57°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days from December through February. That station sits about 900 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures here run cooler.
