Diamonds in the Rain is a climbing area in the Washakie Ranger District of Shoshone National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, with Pronghorn Pinnacle and Claim Jumper both about 0.1 mile away, and the Right Side (Diamonds, La Vaca, Pronghorn, Rodeo Drive) area just as close. The climbing here is all sport, with seven routes spread across a range from 5.8 to 5.12d. The most notable are "Diamonds and Rain" at 5.12a and "Clean Slate" at 5.12d. "Bull of the West" is the easiest at 5.8, and "When the Man Comes Around" is another 5.12d. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Atlantic City weather station, which sits about 1,000 feet lower, show July highs around 78°F with lows near 43°F. Winters are severe, with January highs around 30°F and lows near 1°F. For a break from the rock, the OK Corral Trail and Zorro Wall Trail are both within a third of a mile.
