Wolf Mountain is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Jackson Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 5 miles long, with a one-way climb of about 2,070 feet from a low point of roughly 6,900 feet to a high of about 9,000 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Darwin run to highs around 72°F in July, with lows near 35°F. That station sits about 800 feet below the summit, so temperatures on top run cooler. The trail is natural-surface and allows both horses and bikes. Dog Creek and Little Dog Creek are both within about a mile and a half. East Table Campground is about 5 miles away, and the Rodeo Wall climbing area is about 4 miles off.
