Thorofare Cabin Trail is a short, easy hike in the Teton Wilderness, part of the Blackrock Ranger District of Bridger-Teton National Forest in Wyoming. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is about 2.5 miles long, with a low point of 7,891 feet and a high of 7,964 feet. It is an out-and-back route with a total elevation gain of about 62 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run around 78°F for highs and 39°F for lows, and the station sits roughly 1,000 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The trail is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. The Thorofare River Trail starts just 0.2 miles away, and the Hawk's Lake Trail and Thorofare-South Boundary Cutoff Trail are both within about 2 miles.
