Hotfoot Creek is a 5-mile out-and-back hike in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, within the Greys River Ranger District. The trail climbs from a low point of 6,350 feet to a high of 8,482 feet, with an elevation gain of 2,132 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land. The route is natural-surface and open from May 1 through October 31. Bikes and horses are both allowed. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 77°F in July to about 68°F in June, and that station sits roughly 1,100 feet below the trail's high point, so temperatures on the summit run cooler. Murphy Creek Campground is half a mile away, and Deer Creek Cabin is about 0.7 miles off. The Way Trail and the North Fork Murphy Creek hike both lie within about 1.5 miles.
