Tree Tower is a climbing area in Devils Lake State Park in Wisconsin, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, including Gom Jabbar, Larry Collins and West Bluff 06 - West Bluff Towers, all within about a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is all trad, with seven routes ranging from 5.2 to 5.8 on the YDS scale. Tree Tower itself is a 5.7, and Bowlers Grip is the hardest at 5.8. The Access Route, at 5.2, is the easiest way in. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Baraboo show July highs around 83°F with lows near 60°F, while January highs average about 28°F. That station sits roughly 500 feet lower than the park, so temperatures on the bluff run a bit cooler. For a change from the rock, the Iat - Devil's Lake-Baraboo Connection hike starts about half a mile away, and the Iat - Devil's Lake Segment is about 2.6 miles off.
