Pendleton Point is a bouldering area in West Virginia, set within Blackwater Falls State Park and the Cheat Ranger District of Monongahela National Forest. The State Department of Natural Resources manages the land, and the park's climbing sits about half a mile from the Blackwater Falls State Park climbing area. The bouldering here is all on the V scale, with five routes ranging from V5 to V6. Andrew Leich is the first ascender of all of them, and the names include In a Big House Alone, Seam Mantle and Big House Extension. The routes are boulders, so they sit on the ground rather than on a climbing wall or a cliff face. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Canaan Valley run to highs around 77°F in July and 70°F in September, with lows in the mid-40s to low 50s. Winters are cold, with January highs near 34°F. Several other climbing areas and trails lie close by. Blackwater Falls State Park is about half a mile away, and Powerline Boulders and Camp 70 Boulders are both within about 3.5 miles. For an overnight stay, Horseshoe Recreation Area is about 7.5 miles off.
