Necro Wall is a climbing area in West Virginia, about 1.3 miles from the town of Neponset. The land is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, and the wall sits close to several other named climbing areas, including J: 45 Deg Wall, Iceberg Area and Educator Boulder, each about 0.1 mile away. The area offers a range of climbing styles and grades, with 13 routes in total. Eight are trad, three are mixed and two are sport, and the grades run from 5.7 up to 5.13b/c. Among the named routes are Cruella De Vil at 5.7, Talon at 5.11b and Silence (aka Revelation of Doom) at 5.13b/c. The hardest route, Silence, was first ascended by Swiss Andy in 2000. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall stand out. Typical averages from the nearby Bluestone Lake weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 68°F, with fewer wet days in September and October than in the rest of the year. The station sits about 340 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the wall run somewhat cooler.
