4 Moon Wall is a climbing area in the Gauley River National Recreation Area in West Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, so it works well as one stop in a longer day on the climbing routes of this corner of the park. The wall has 25 routes, with the majority of them being traditional (21) and the rest divided between mixed and sport climbing. The YDS grades run from 5.5 up to 5.12, with a median of 5.8. Among the named routes are Little Feat at 5.5 and Nodes at 5.12, along with Winter Harvest, a sport climb at 5.10c. Summer is the warmest stretch, with typical July highs around 81°F and lows near 61°F, according to averages from the nearby Summersville Lake weather station. Early fall stays mild, with September highs around 75°F. MacGuffin Boulder and Meadow Top Boulders are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Meadow River Gorge Trail is about 0.6 mile off. For an overnight stay, Battle Run campground is about 4.9 miles away.
