Hardy Falls
About
Hardy Falls is a waterfall in Washington's Beacon Rock State Park, within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The land is managed by State Park and Recreation, and the closest town is North Bonneville, about 2 miles away. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At the Bonneville Dam weather station, about 3 miles away in Oregon, July and August typically average highs near 80°F and lows around 57°F, with only four or five wet days a month. That station sits close to the river, roughly 700 feet below the falls, so temperatures at the waterfall usually run a little cooler. The Hamilton Mountain Trail starts just 0.2 miles away, and the West Hardy Ridge Trail is about 0.4 miles off. Climbers will find the Lower (Main) Area under a mile away. For camping, Eagle Creek Overlook is about 4 miles away on the Oregon side of the river.
