Valley View is a short cross-country ski trail in Mount Spokane State Park in Washington, on land managed by State Park and Recreation. It is rated easy and runs 0.46 miles one way. Most skiers ski it as an out-and-back, which makes a trip of about 0.9 miles. The terrain stays gentle and sits between about 4,570 and 4,620 feet. The one-way climb is about 35 feet. Counting every small rise in both directions, the round trip adds up to about 160 feet of gain and the same amount of descent. Most of the climbing comes in the later part of the outbound leg. The steepest pitch is about 8 percent, near the quarter-mile mark. That makes the trail a reasonable choice for beginners or for a quick warm-up before a longer outing. Valley View sits in a dense cluster of ski trails, so it is easy to link with others. Brian's Hill, Bear Grass, Mountain View and Linder Ridge all start about 0.1 miles away.
