Hate Rock is a bouldering area in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington, managed by the Forest Service. The climbing sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Swiftwater picnic area about 0.1 mile away and other routes also about 0.1 mile off. That makes it a convenient stop for climbers exploring the area. The rock here is all bouldering. There are nine routes, all boulder problems, ranging from V1 up to V9. Some of the named ones are The Transverse (V1), Hate Monger (V3) and Raven (V9), with 14 Years at V6. Summer is the warmest time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Leavenworth show July and August highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F, while September cools to highs in the upper 70s. That station sits about 500 feet lower than the area, so temperatures at Hate Rock run cooler. Tumwater Group Site and Hatchery Creek Trail are both about 1.7 miles away.
