The Central-East Cascades climbing area, Wenatchee and Leavenworth, lies within the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in Washington. It is a compact cluster of climbing spots, with several named routes and a range of styles, and it sits about 2 miles from the Chiwaukum Creek Trail and the Tumwater Group Site. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically June through September. At the Plain, WA weather station about 6.6 miles away, July and August average highs near 82°F and lows around 50°F, with only about three wet days a month. Winter is much colder, with January highs near 34°F and lows around 21°F. The climbing here mixes sport, trad and mixed routes. "No Knees, No Trees" is a sport route rated 5.5, and "Scroliosis" is a trad route at 5.10a/b. "3 Goats, 2 Kegs and 1 Pig" is a mixed route at 5.9+.
