Camp Serene is a bouldering area in Washington managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with the Serene Area Boulders and Camp Raucous both about 0.1 mile away. The area is a compact, boulder-focused destination rather than a long route, and its climbing is all on rock rather than on a trail. The boulders here range from the easy V0- of Downclimb/Inserene to the harder V8 of Chemical Imbalance, with most of the routes falling between V0- and V4. Ryan's Problem / Climax Control is a V6 boulder problem with a first ascent by Ryan Paulsness. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 78°F with only about seven wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days. The Lake Isabel Trail is about 1.1 miles away, and Wallace Falls State Park Campground is about 3.7 miles off. Paddlers can head to Proctor Creek, about 2.3 miles away, and Camp Huston offers camping about 3.5 miles from the area.
