Quarry is a short mountain biking route in Washington, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources and located about 4 miles from the town of Delphi. The ride is an out-and-back of roughly 1.4 miles, with a total climb of about 397 feet from the start at 793 feet to the high point at 841 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, around 0.2 miles in, with a grade of about 16 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Olympia show July and August highs around 78°F with only about five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly 20 days a month. That station sits well below the route, so temperatures on the climb run cooler. Several other trails lie within half a mile, including Waddell Basin West, Divide Trail South and the Twin Peaks hike. Paddlers can find Sherman Creek about 3 miles away.
