Brain Wave is a short, easy mountain biking route in Washington, just 0.2 miles from the town of Henrys. It is an out-and-back ride of about 0.6 miles, with a peak of 581 feet and a low of 565 feet, and it adds and drops about 35 feet in elevation. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.2 miles in, with a grade of around 6 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the Landsburg weather station, about 3.5 miles away, show July and August highs near 77°F with only about seven wet days a month, while winter months see highs in the mid-40s and around 20 wet days. Three other mountain biking routes lie within about a tenth of a mile: Brain Bucket, Powerlines and Sasquatch. For paddling, Big Soos Creek is about 6 miles away.
