Lake Gillette Campground sits on the east shore of Lake Gillette in the Three Rivers Ranger District of Colville National Forest in northeastern Washington. The Forest Service manages the land, and the campground is about 0.2 miles from Gillette Campground. The site has 14 campsites with fire rings and picnic tables, vault toilets and drinking water. Bear-proof garbage containers are on hand, and the paved roads and parking spurs make it easy to get around. Lodgepole pine and tamarack provide shade to many campsites. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Colville show July and August highs around 88 to 89°F with only four or five wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and regular snow days. Rufus Trail #148 and Springboard Trail #149 are both within a mile, and Lake Thomas is about 0.7 miles away. Paddlers can find Ruby Creek roughly 7.8 miles off.
