Gillette Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Three Rivers Ranger District of Colville National Forest in northern Washington, about a quarter-mile from the shore of Lake Gillette. It sits in a forest of lodgepole pine and tamarack, with 29 single campsites, vault toilets and drinking water. Bear-proof garbage containers are placed around the campground loop, and fire rings and picnic tables are among the site's amenities. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Colville show July and August highs around 88 to 89°F, with fewer wet days than the rest of the year. That station sits well below the campground, so temperatures at the site run cooler. The campground makes a base for exploring the surrounding area. Lake Gillette is close by, and the Springboard Trail #149 and Rufus Trail #148 are within half a mile. Lake Thomas is about 0.7 miles away.
