About
Fudge Point is a public ocean beach in Washington, about 2 miles from Herron Island. It's a simple stop with restrooms on site and no fee to visit. Swimming is not allowed here, so plan on time along the shore rather than in the water. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs near 78 to 79°F, with only about five wet days in each of those months. For a short walk close by, the Boardwalk is half a mile away. A little farther afield, about 9 miles off, are the Loop Trail, the Upper Loop Trail and the Interpretive Loop Trail.
