Cline Spit County Park
About
Cline Spit County Park is a public ocean beach in Washington, about 3.5 miles from the town of Jamestown. It's a simple stop with restrooms on site and no fee to visit. Swimming isn't allowed, so plan on enjoying the shoreline from the beach rather than the water. July and August are the most comfortable months to go, with typical highs around 70°F and only about five wet days each month, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Sequim. Winter is cooler and wetter, with highs in the mid-40s and rain on roughly half the days. For more time outdoors, the Primitive Trail and the Dungeness Levee Setback Foot Path are both about 1.9 miles away, and the Bluff Trail is about 2.3 miles off. Paddlers can head about 8 miles to McDonald Creek.
