Juliet's Balcony - Upper Balcony area is a climbing area on the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits within the parkway's land, about a tenth of a mile from the Lower Balcony, Juliet's Balcony and the River Trail. There is no fee to visit. The parkway's own trails and climbing areas make it easy to pair this spot with other outings in the same stretch of the parkway. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages about 88°F. The River Trail and the Billy Goat Trail Section A are both within a quarter mile. The Matildaville Trail is about 0.3 miles away. Paddlers can head to Little Falls Branch, about 8 miles away across the Maryland line.
