Shark's Tooth Area is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in Utah's Salt Lake Field Office, about 2.6 miles from the Cottonwood Weir weather station. It sits among several other climbing spots, with Other boulders about 0.1 mile away and Outer Canyon about 0.2 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, with three routes listed, all rated V0 or V1 on the V scale. They are Arete (V0), Blubber (V1) and Shark Arete (V1). Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the Cottonwood Weir station run from highs around 61°F in April to 64°F in October, with July highs near 91°F. That station sits about 400 feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures up high run a little cooler. For more climbing, Other boulders and Outer Canyon are both within a quarter mile. Hikers can head to the North Fork Deaf Smith Canyon Trail, about 0.7 mile away, and Lake Lillian, about 5 miles away, offers fishing.
