Red Monster Area is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in Utah's Fillmore Field Office. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, including The Warm Up Boulder, The Thing 1, The Thing II and Sheep Rock Area, all within about a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is all bouldering, with nine routes spread across the area. Grades run from V0 to V6, with the hardest route, Tranced out and Dreamin', at V6. The V1 routes Magic Roundabout and Right Arete are good options for climbers looking for something a little more than the easiest problems. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Black Rock weather station show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 69°F, while July averages climb to about 95°F.
