Providence Canyon is a climbing area in Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, within the Logan Ranger District, about 1.2 miles from the Close to Home climbing area. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area is known for its bouldering. Three bouldering routes sit here, all rated between V2- and V4- on the V scale. They are Araña (V2-), Águila (V3) and Hang Nail (V4-). For timing, late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Logan run to highs around 67°F in May and 76°F in September, while July highs average about 88°F. That station sits roughly 1,300 feet lower than the canyon, so temperatures up here run cooler. The Providence Canyon Trail lies just 0.1 mile away and is a mountain biking route. Spring Hollow Campground and Blacksmith Fork Guard Station are both about 5 miles off.
