The Lost Boulder is a bouldering area in the Salt Lake Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with the Black Roof Boulders and Party Pit Area each about 0.1 mile away. The area has five bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale. The easiest is Lost Arete at V0, and the hardest is Packs a Punch at V6-7. The median grade is V2, so the boulders here range from easy to challenging. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Alta weather station, which sits about 1,100 feet lower, show July highs around 73°F with lows near 50°F. Winter is cold, with January highs around 31°F. The White Pine - Snowbird Link hike is about 0.4 mile away, and Tanners Flat Campground is about 0.7 mile away. Lake Lillian and Lake Florence, both about 2 miles off, offer fishing.
