Gate Boulders is a climbing area in the Salt Lake Ranger District of Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, about a mile from the Little Cottonwood Creek Trail and the Gate Boulder and Everybody's Boulder climbing areas. It sits in a cluster of boulders and sport routes that make an easy base for a short outing in the forest. The climbing here is a mix of bouldering and sport routes, with 10 boulder problems and three sport routes among the 13 listed. Boulder grades run from V0-1 up to V13, with The Flake at the low end and Spinal Twist at the high end. Sport routes fall in the 5.5 to 5.10 range. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable, with typical averages from a nearby weather station at Timpanogos Cave running to highs of about 66°F in May and 76°F in September. That station sits about 120 feet below the boulders, so temperatures on the rock may run slightly cooler. Nearby, Tanners Flat Campground is about 2.8 miles away, and Lake Lillian is about 3.6 miles off. Albion Basin offers camping at about 7.5 miles.
