Flat Face Boulder is a bouldering area on State Trust Lands South Block in Utah, managed by the State Land Board. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Tri Boulder, Astroid Boulder and Buttopia all about 0.1 mile away, and the Central Parking Area just as close. The Banded Hills Trail also starts within a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is all bouldering, with nine routes on the V0 to V2 scale. Business time is the easiest at V0, and Septic and Twister are the hardest at V2. The routes are short and sit close together, so the area works well for a quick session rather than a long day. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby St George weather station show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 102°F. The station sits at nearly the same elevation as the boulders, so those figures should be a fair guide to conditions on site.
