East Battle Ship is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Vernal Field Office in Utah, about 12 miles from the town of Vernal. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 67°F in May and 60°F in October. July is the warmest month, with highs near 86°F. Winters there are cold, with January highs around 34°F. The Central Battleship Formation climbing area and the Three Amigos hike both sit within half a mile. J-Boy is a little farther at about half a mile. Paddlers can find Big Brush Creek about 6 miles away.
