Chaos Boulder is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Moab Field Office in Utah, about 6 miles from the town of Moab. It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, with Flat Top Boulder and Big Bend Bouldering Area each about 0.1 mile away. The area has 12 bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V1 to V11. The easiest is Death Flakes at V1, and the hardest is Phantom Fighter at V11. Phantom Fighter (Stand) is V9, and Grim Reacher Direct is V8. The median grade is V6. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Moab show April highs around 72°F and October highs around 74°F, while July averages near 99°F. Camping is close by at Upper Big Bend Campground, about 0.2 mile away, and Oak Grove Campground is about 0.7 mile away. For a hike, Windows Sand Loop is about 3.5 miles off.
