Sovereign Trail (Lower) is a mountain biking route in Utah's State of Utah Forrest, Fire and State Lands, within Sovereign Lands 8, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is an out-and-back that covers about 3 miles, with a one-way climb of 328 feet from a low point of 4,496 feet to a high of 4,838 feet. It is rated hard. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Moab show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages reach 96°F. The Sovereign Trail (Upper) hike starts just 0.1 mile away, and the Motherload Trail and Alternate Trail are each about 0.2 mile off.
