The Slickrock Practice Loop is a 1.23-mile mountain biking ride on Bureau of Land Management land in Utah's Moab Field Office, about 0.1 mile from the Slickrock trail. It is a short out-and-back, roughly 2.5 miles long, with an elevation gain of 101 feet, and it is rated moderate. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. A nearby weather station in Moab, at a lower elevation, records typical average highs of about 72°F in April and 74°F in October, while July averages around 99°F. Those are typical averages from a nearby station, and temperatures up high run cooler. Sand Flats Recreation Area Group Campsites and Grandstaff Campground are both about 1.6 miles away.
