Ridge Trail is a 2.6-mile out-and-back route in the Pleasant Grove Ranger District of Utah's Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It rises from a low point of about 7,818 feet to a high of roughly 8,070 feet, a climb of about 310 feet. The Forest Service manages the land. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Sundance weather station run to highs around 81°F in July and 80°F in August, though that station sits about 1,450 feet below the trail, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. The trail starts close to Horse Flat Trail and Willow Hollow Winter, a cross-country ski area. Altamont and Timpooneke Campground are both within about 2 miles, and Echo Reservoir is about 3 miles away.
