Maverick is a short mountain biking route on Bureau of Land Management land in the Moab Field Office, about 0.4 miles long and rising 64 feet from a low point of 4,568 feet to a high of 4,652 feet. It sits in the Moab area of Utah, close to the town of Moab and within easy reach of other trails and climbing areas. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages climb to about 96°F. The Maverick Trail and State Highway 313 both lie about 0.1 mile away, and the North 40 and Lazy mountain biking routes are within half a mile.
