Bad Hombre is a mountain biking trail in Utah, about a mile from the town of Kamas. The route is rated hard, and it covers roughly 2 miles round trip with a total climb of about 370 feet from a low point near 7,000 feet to a high of about 7,370 feet. It's a short, steep ride, and it keeps things technical with rock gardens, small ledges and plenty of berms. The ride works well as a connector between other trails in the area. Upper Escalador Trail and Lower Escalador Trail both sit about 0.1 mile away, and Whip It Trail is close by as well. The trail is dog-friendly. For timing, summer is the most comfortable stretch. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Kamas show July highs around 84°F and lows near 50°F, and snow is common from November through April. The station sits several hundred feet lower than the trail, so expect temperatures on the trail to run a bit cooler.
