Skyline Drive is an easy out-and-back hike in Utah, about 0.8 miles long with a 10-foot elevation gain. The trail runs between Uintah Highlands, just 0.2 miles away, and the Great Western Trail - Utah, which passes within about a tenth of a mile. The route's low point sits at 4,812 feet and its high at 4,831 feet, so the climb is minimal. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 69°F in May and 78°F in September, while July highs average about 92°F and winter brings several snowy days each month from November through March. The Skyline Parkway lies about 0.2 miles away. Climbers can head to the Train Hop Area, roughly 2 miles off, and Maples Campground and the Ogden River are each under 6 miles from the trail.
