The Scad Valley Trail is a 7.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Price Ranger District of Manti-La Sal National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 8,240 feet to about 8,819 feet, with a total elevation gain of 666 feet, and is rated hard. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Electric Lake weather station, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 74°F with lows near 41°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-20s. The trail is on natural surface and allows both horses and bikes. The Left Fork of Huntington Canyon National Recreation Trail starts just 0.1 mile away. Miller Flat Reservoir Campground is about 1.8 miles off, and the Lake Canyon #15 and #16 North End hikes are each within about 2.7 miles.
