Pineview West is a short, easy hike in the Ogden Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 1.4 miles long and rises about 14 feet from a low point of roughly 4,906 feet to a high of about 4,937 feet, making it a gentle out-and-back. The trail is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Pineview Dam weather station show July highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. Pineview West Trail lies about 0.6 miles away, and Ogden Canyon is about 1.7 miles off. Anderson Cove campground is about 2.2 miles away, and the Hummingbird Wall climbing area is about 3.5 miles away.
