Pineview Pathway Pelican is a short, easy hike in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah, about 1.05 miles long with a total elevation gain of 21 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is an out-and-back route that starts and ends at nearly the same elevation, with the high point at about 4,934 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes. It is not an accessible trail, so plan for that if you need a route that works with mobility aids. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Pineview Dam weather station show July highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. Winter's Grove Nature Trail is about 1.4 miles away, and Anderson Cove and Chris RV Park are both about 1.5 miles off. Paddlers can reach the South Branch South Fork Ogden River about 2 miles away.
