Lost Prospector is a moderate out-and-back hike in Utah, about 1.4 miles from Keetley Junction. The route is roughly 6.3 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 241 feet, taking you from a low point of about 6,876 feet to a high of about 7,157 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Park City, at a similar elevation, show July highs around 80°F with lows near 53°F, while winter highs stay around freezing. The trail starts close to two other hikes, Fox Tail Trail and Lynx #2, each about 0.2 miles away.
