Kane Canyon is a 4.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Beaver Ranger District of Fishlake National Forest in Utah, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 927 feet from a low point of 7,193 feet to a high of 8,127 feet, and it is rated moderate. The trail has a natural surface, and both bikes and horses are allowed, so it works for a range of visitors. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run to highs around 75 to 80°F in June through July, with snow days in every month from December through March. That station sits roughly 850 feet lower than the hike's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. Nearby options include the Patterson - Birch Lake and Birch Creek - Clover Beds hikes, both about 1.4 miles away, and Little Cottonwood - Rec Site campground at about 2.3 miles. Climbers can head to Beaver Canyon, about 3 miles off.
