Great Pyramid is an easy out-and-back hike in Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah, managed by State Park and Recreation. The route is about 4.7 miles long, with a low point of 5,829 feet and a high of 5,985 feet, so the climb is a gentle 138 feet of elevation gain. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 65°F, while July averages about 91°F and winter brings highs near 37°F with a few snowy days each month. The trail sits close to other outings. Raven Roll and the Prickly Pair mountain biking route are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Intrepid hike is about half a mile off. Climbers can head to Bird's View Butte / Crow's Head Spires, about 2.3 miles away.
