Epperson Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in Wasatch Mountain State Park in Utah, managed by State Park and Recreation. The trail is about 0.46 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 30 feet, so it's a gentle walk that can be done in a few minutes. The trail starts and ends at nearly the same elevation, with the low point at about 5,988 feet and the high point at about 6,034 feet. It makes an easy addition to a visit to the park, and it sits close to two other short hikes, Huber Grove Trail and Lime Canyon, both about 0.2 miles away. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 66°F and September highs around 75°F, while July averages climb to about 88°F. Other nearby spots include Rock Creek, a canoeing destination about 4.4 miles away, and Empire Pass, a climbing area about 4.9 miles away.
