East Fork Blacks Fork Trail is a hard hike in Utah's High Uintas Wilderness, part of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The route is an out-and-back of about 5.6 miles, with a one-way elevation gain of 1,467 feet, taking you from a low point of about 10,553 feet to a high of about 12,012 feet. The trail lies within the Evanston-Mountain View and Roosevelt ranger districts and is managed by the Forest Service. The climb is a significant one, and the trail's length and grade make it a demanding outing. Plan on a full day, and expect the higher stretches to be the most challenging. Several other destinations sit within about 10 miles. Left Hand Fork and Ottoson are both hikes roughly 6 miles away. Amethyst Lake offers fishing, and East Fork Blacks Fork Campground is about 10 miles off.
