Cave Ridge is a 5.5-mile out-and-back hike in the Ogden Ranger District of Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest in northern Utah. It's a moderate route with a total elevation gain of about 694 feet, climbing from a low of about 7,629 feet to a high of about 8,238 feet. The trail is open from roughly May 15 through November 1. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. At a nearby weather station at a similar elevation, July averages a high of about 82°F and a low of about 53°F, and September cools to around 70°F by day and 43°F at night. Winter is cold, with typical highs near 30°F in December and January. The trail is on natural surface and allows horses and bikes, but it's not an accessible trail. Silvia Hollow is about 1.7 miles away and Sugar Pine about 2.4 miles. Monte Cristo Campground sits about 2.6 miles off, and Big Spring Overlook is about 3 miles away.
