Boundary Butte Vista is an easy hike in the Monticello Ranger District of Manti-La Sal National Forest in Utah, about a mile from the town of Monticello. The trail is short and low, with a total length of about a mile and a climb of about 94 feet from a low point of 7,130 feet to a high of 7,215 feet. The route is an out-and-back on natural surface, and bikes are allowed. It makes a quick stop for anyone already exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Monticello show July highs around 84°F with lows near 55°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 30s. Nearby, Boundary Butte South lies about 1.4 miles away and Boundary Butte about 1.9 miles. The Stevens Canyon Trail is about 3.5 miles off, and Eastwood Crag, a climbing area, is about 3.7 miles away.
